Quote of the moment

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

The itsy bitsy spider
Climbed up the water spout
Washed away when the water
All came pouring out

We build and make a life
We do the best we can
Why is it that for some
Things never go to plan

We battle up the hill
We try to find out way
But of the final outcome
We really have no say

We do things that seems right
We follow path that seem true
Only to be washed away again
Once more flushed out of the blue

It is never about us
Our lives do not matter
Energy body and mind
Devour us in the clatter

The itsy bitsy spider
Climbing up the water spout
At least he has no idea
What the unfairness is about.
